World Vision AIDS Experience Exhibit - AIDS and Profiles Children’s Lives

Seattle, WA (ContentDesk) November 29, 2005 -- Commemorating World AIDS Day, December 1, World Vision is bringing a glimpse of the AIDS crisis to Seattle by inviting visitors to step into the lives of four African children through the World Vision AIDS Experience, an interactive exhibit at Bell Harbor International Conference Center, Pier 66, December 1-3.Recorded narrations on customized Mp3 players lead visitors through one of four routes through the 3,500 square foot display.
Each route follows the story of one of four children:"???? Olivia was raped twice by the same man, becoming pregnant twice and possibly being exposed to HIV."???? Steven was abducted by rebels and forced to beat and kill other children as a child soldier."???? Timothy watched his parents and all his siblings die from AIDS."???? Beatrice age 7 became the head of her household caring for an infant niece, and was forced to make decisions that place her at risk of contracting the virus. This exhibit is like no other in world, and the crisis of AIDS is like no other in the world, says Richard E. Stearns, president of World Vision, U.S. These four lives represent millions of children in Africa and around the world, says Stearns, who has been in the forefront of raising awareness about HIV/AIDS.We are extremely pleased to help bring such a unique and enlightening exhibit to Seattle, said John Oppenheimer, president and CEO of Columbia Hospitality, Inc., which manages Bell Harbor International Conference Center.
